“My name is Nahla, and I am in the Class of 2025 from Houston, Texas living in Dunster studying Social Studies. I am the Co-Chair of the CIVICS program, which sends volunteers to elementary schools in the Boston Public School district to teach about government and civic engagement. Over the next year, I am looking forward to continuing to serve BPS students and expanding educational advocacy efforts within the CIVICS team. I previously served as the Co-Director of Membership for the IOP and participated in PRE and the Policy Program. Outside of the IOP, I am involved in Harvard Model Congress, the Harvard College Women’s Cabinet, and the UN Commission on the Status of Women Youth Desk. In my free time, I love dancing with groups like Expressions or Eleganza and baking!”

Black Women for Positive Change hosted our GenZ Voters Rights TikTok dancers at a “Little Mermaid” film screening in DC.

The “thank you” outing was organized by BW4PC Member Maria Jones, and her husband Good Brother BW4PC videographer Henry Jones. The Voters Rights Tik Tok dancers had a great night.
