On October 15th, from 10 am to 3:30 pm (PT), Black Women for Positive Change, in partnership with Everytown for Gun Safety, Peace in Education, and California State University Dominguez Hills Negotiations, Conflict Resolution, and Peacebuilding Program, is hosting a series of online Gen-Z dialogues. This will be capstoned by an online dialogue and workshop event where Gen-Z’s can discuss topics that are important to them. Issues such as voting, social activism, generational communication, and more will be the focus of these discussions. We will learn about tools and resources to support future goals and aspirations. explore questions and topics in a facilitated discussion meant to normalize the inclusion of all voices.

Discussion on Gun Violence: This will be a workshop led by Gen-Z’s. This workshop will explore the
impact of gun violence on younger generations and students in general.

Apprenticeship Workshop: This workshop is designed to explore the importance of apprenticeship
opportunities for young people by giving them options in education and careers. Participants will learn
about opportunities and how apprenticeships can offer young people more educational options for the
future.

New Village Academy: Come meet the students and staff who are doing groundbreaking community
work in the areas of renewable energy and housing insecurity.

Voting Workshop: This is a workshop to educate participants on the importance of voting and how they
can help educate others around them.
